Spangenhelms are early period-style helmets made from plates that are riveted together. Our version has a simple one piece dome and three part sides. This style helmet was often worn with a camail of chainmail to protect the neck and shoulders. The Spangenhelm has a 12 gauge dome with 14 gauge sides with a welded grill that meets SCA requirements. Strap and padding not included. When properly strapped and padded to your kingdom specifications these helmets are SCA legal. Consult your local marshal. Sizes M/L or X. The medium/large will fit a crown measurement of up to 25 inches and the x-large will fit up to a 27 inch measurement.
