Early Tudor Patterns for Women

Up to 5 gorgeous Early Tudor Women's Gown patterns.
- Close-Fitting Backlaced kirtle with cuffed sleeves.
- Front-opening gown with bell sleeves rolled back into a cuff, usually worn over a kirtle.
- Back-laced gown with bell sleeves rolled back into a cuff.
- Front-opening gown with squared bell sleeves turned back deeply & false undersleeves, worn over o sleeveless undergown.
- Back-laced gown with bell sleeves turned back deeply, split skirt, underskirt, & false undersleeves.
Note: Views III-V are designed to be worn over a corset, but can be altered to be worn without (although this will result in an in-authentic bodice silhouette).
Note:The chemises worn under all 5 gowns, the corset, and farthingale are not included in this pattern, but can be found in pattern COSPP090 Women's Undergarments. Headdresses for the period are available in pattern COSPP052 Tudro-Era Headdresses.
Each pattern in the line includes cutting lines and instructions for sizes 6-20. The instructions are prefaced by many pages of historical notes and dozens of annotated photographs of the original costumes from period sources. The designer also shares ideas on enhancing finished gowns with beading, trims, and fur. Medieval Miscellanea patterns are not for beginners and require a fair amount of sewing knowledge, but they are worth the effort.Publisher:
