Several patterns for Early Tudor Men's Garments.
- Floor-length gown with wide bell sleeves over skirted doublet and shirt.
- Ankle-length gown with slit hanging tube sleeves over guarded skirted doublet and shirt.
- Slashed and guarded skirted doublet with double-puffed paned slashed sleeves over ruffled shirt.
- Short, full gown with short paned puffed sleeves over skirted sleeveless jerkin, paned-sleeved slashed skirtless doublet and ruffled shirt.
- Paned sleeved slashed skirtless doublet.
Note: The hose, shoes, hats and accessories worn with these garment are not included in this pattern. Pattern for hose can be found in COSPP043 Men's Italian Renaissance.
Each pattern in the line includes cutting lines and instructions for sizes 6-20. The instructions are prefaced by many pages of historical notes and dozens of annotated photographs of the original costumes from period sources. The designer also shares ideas on enhancing finished gowns with beading, trims, and fur. Medieval Miscellanea patterns are not for beginners and require a fair amount of sewing knowledge, but they are worth the effort.
