A sleeveless, side-split over-garment for men.
Surcoats were worn by fighters in the middle ages to cover their padded fighting coats or metal armor. They would paint or sew their company badges over their chests on their surcoats to identify whom they were fighting for. You can wear them plain or paint your arms on the front and back.

A surcoat also makes an attractive, inexpensive way to dress the non-principles in a play or wedding party. The sides are sewn together under the arms and the garment slips on over the head. It is made of a fade-resistant, cotton/poly blend that is comfortable in warm or cold weather.

The model is wearing the surcoat over a black Lord's Shirt (CHI3015), with a Wide Brass Buckle Belt (CHI8009) and a black Biggen cap (CHI7025).

I have yet to wear them to an event but have tries them on and they are fantastic. Perfect fit and came very quick. They are very comfy and a good fit for any LARPer. The surcoat is perfect length and the color doesn't fade when washed. I would recommend this one to anyone.

It's a nice surcoat sturdy and held well for SCA heavy fighting, I enjoyed it and brings my character together.
